Youth Advisory Council (YAC)
CommunityNashville's Youth Advisory Council empowers Nashville youth leaders to promote a more diverse, tolerant, and cooperative community.
The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a group of students who are ready to lead and serve on behalf of CommunityNashville. Participation in one of our signature programs, AnyTown or MiniTown, by August 2008 is required.
As a member of YAC, you will expected to attend twice monthly meetings, work and meet in smaller committees, and complete projects. Project selection will be determined by YAC participants in conjunction with CommunityNashville, YAC coordinators and YAC advisors.
The meetings will be held on the first and third Thursdays of every month at the CommunityNashville office unless otherwise stated. Generally, the time commitment to CommunityNashville's YAC should be around 5-7 hours each month. The time includes meetings and committee work. Punctuality, professionalism, and readiness are expected at all times.
There may be times in which you are asked to come into the CommunityNashville office for additional time to work with your committee.
