Honoring Nashville’s leaders in the fight for Human Rights

V. H. “Sonnye” Dixon – senior pastor of Hobson United Methodist Church in Nashville, leading a ministry of social justice, an advocate for public education and an active community volunteer.

Lady Bird – president of Tennessee International Women’s Forum and an outspoken and passionate community activist for youth, the homeless, women and the working poor.

Irwin Venick – a partner in the law firm of Dobbins, Venick, Kuhn & Byassee working behind the scenes to fight bias and bigotry in our community, focusing on employment discrimination and healthcare.

Linda & Jim Zralek – life-long participants in human rights and social justice issues including Room in the Inn, Just Faith Diversity in Dialogue, Celebration of Cultures and others.

  • Dinner proceeds will go to the 2011/2012 nationally recognized CommunityNashville Building Bridges programs at Oasis ensuring the continuation of the multi-cultural Camp AnyTown, Camp MiniTown, and the innovative Camp UniTown in our high schools.
  • This will be our only fundraiser in 2012.
  • Join us as we raise our voices in support of a more diverse and inclusive community.
